Durch die Installation des Compatibility Packs für Microsoft Office 2000, Office XP oder Office 2003 können Sie Dateien mit den neuen Dateiformaten von Word, Excel und PowerPoint 2007 öffnen, bearbeiten und speichern.

Das Compatibility Pack kann auch mit Word Viewer 2003, Excel Viewer 2003 und PowerPoint Viewer 2003 verwendet werden, um Dateien in diesen neuen Formaten anzuzeigen. Es ermöglicht außerdem mit Word Viewer und Excel Viewer, Word 2007 und Excel 2007-Dokumente zu öffnen und anzuzeigen.

Das Office Compatibility Pack ermöglicht es Microsoft Office Word 2003 Viewer und Microsoft Office Excel 2003 Viewer die folgenden Microsoft Office-Dokumentformate 2007 zu unterstützen:

Update 06.01.2010

Das Office Compatibility Pack für Dateiformate von Word, Excel und PowerPoint 2007 wurde aktualisiert, so dass es ab sofort das Office 2007 Compatibility Pack Service Pack 2 (SP2) enthält. Darüber hinaus werden mit dem aktualisierten Office 2007 Compatibility Pack benutzerdefinierte XML-Tags aus Word .DOCX oder .DOCM-Dateien entfernt wenn die betreffende Datei mit Word 2003 geöffnet wird.
