Microsoft stellt ab sofort Kunden, die Office Small Business 2003, Office Professional 2003, Office Small Business 2007, Office Professional 2007, Office Ultimate 2007, Outlook 2003 oder 2007 und Office Home und Business 2010, Office Professional 2010 oder Outlook 2010 gekauft haben, die Update-Version von Outlook 2010 Business Contact Manager als kostenlosen Download zur Verfügung.

Ursprünglich wollte Microsoft den Outlook 2010 Business Contact Manager nur über einen Volumenlizenzvertrag anbieten. Heute meldete sich nun das Business Contact Manager Team Blog mit einer erfreulichen Meldung zu Wort:

...When we made this decision, we underestimated the importance of BCM to our small business customers and those who purchased previous versions of Office in retail stores or pre-installed on PCs. Worse yet, we left many of our customers, who didn’t want to buy through volume licensing, stranded with their data locked in previous versions of Office.

 

This was a mistake and today we’re announcing a program to make Outlook with BCM available to the millions of existing Outlook with BCM customers who don’t want to buy Office 2010 through volume licensing. Starting today we are offering an upgrade to Outlook 2010 with BCM at no additional cost to customers who meet the following criteria:

 

Customers who have previously purchased one of the following:

  • Office Small Business Edition 2003 or Office Professional Edition 2003.
  • Office Small Business 2007, Office Professional 2007 or Office Ultimate 2007.
  • A stand-alone Edition of Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or 2007.

And… Purchased one of the following versions of Office 2010:

  • Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010.
  • Microsoft Office Professional 2010.
  • A stand-alone edition of Microsoft Outlook 2010.

You can download Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2010 at no additional cost if both of the following conditions are met: You purchased a copy of Outlook with Business Contact Manager with Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office 2007, or standalone Office Outlook 2007, and you purchased a copy of Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010, Microsoft Office Professional 2010, or standalone edition of Microsoft Outlook 2010.

Once you’ve confirmed that both conditions above have been met, follow these instructions:

Review and accept the terms

  1. Review and accept the Microsoft Software License Terms.
  2. Click I Accept at the end of the Microsoft Software License Terms page. This will take you to the download site.

Download

  1. At the download site, enter your qualifying Office 2010 Product Key, and then click Submit.
  2. Sign in with your Windows Live ID or Microsoft Passport account credentials.
  3. On download page, click Download BCM.

Note: You will not see Business Contact Manager in the Shopping Cart.

Important information

Business Contact Manager is only available by download. If you choose to purchase a backup DVD for your Office product, it will not include Business Contact Manager. If you do not choose to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms, you cannot download Business Contact Manager.
